Before, when you pressed a bbCode button the tag text would be added at the end of the area you're typing in, and the scrollbars if present would be taken to the bottom right corner to keep what you've just done on the screen. As of tonight, the tag text is added where the cursor is, and the scrollbars don't move. I know this is a feature people like, so there you go with your first site improvement of 2009.

Well, it took a lot longer than I was expecting, but after two solid hours I've finally brought the Red vs Blue character bios up to date, including brand new bios for Sister, Gary, Junior, Mental Simmons and Mental Sister. Hopefully I'll be able to do this as it happens in the future, because it's really quite a pain doing everything all at once like this.

Lots of news for Strangerhood fans tonight. First, All the bios have finally been updated, and a few new ones that didn't even have stubs previously have been added to the mix. Everyone who appears in the show, and even some people who don't, now have written histories. Some of them are more detailed than others, but that's just the nature of the beast.

Second, while I was doing research for those bios I ran across a handful of video rendering and/or editing errors, so I made a page out of them. If you spot any other errors, please send me a hi-res screenshot of it, along with details about where it is, and once I've verified it I'll add it to the page.

I also spent some significant time last night tweaking and fixing the code that governs the background fade-out and displaying the Red vs Blue title screens, making it more cross-browser compatible, and making a few other changes along the way. The site now renders more accurately in Opera, too. The things I do for you guys.

The next update will likely be to update the Red vs Blue bios with information from Seasons 4 and 5, but that may have to wait for the new year; we'll see how things play out.

All the characters from Out of Mind, Recovery One, and Reconstruction have been added to the RvB Bios page. Caboose's mental image of Wash has also been added to that page, and there are a few surprise inclusions in there for you to keep it interesting.

Not included is Sister's bio, nor updates to the Blood Gulch Chronicles bios with information from seasons 4 and 5. Those will come at once at a later time. You will notice, however, that the bios page has been made a little more organized, with sections for Freelancers, A.I.s, Administration, etc. Let me know if it's somehow too confusing.

Because laundry takes so long to do and I got started on it so late, I found myself with nothing to do. So I decided to update the character bios that I already have up for Red vs Blue. I removed the events that happen within the main timeline of the show for characters who are around for more than one episode, fleshed out some characters with additional background information from Out of Mind, Recovery One and Reconstruction, and added another informational slot labeled "Current Status."

I've also finished making my notes for the bios from OOM, RO and Reconstruction, so I should be able to write them up some time next week. In the meantime, why don't you check out the updated character bios, some of which changed drastically, and leave some feedback on them?

In reviewing Out of Mind, Recovery One and Reconstruction in order to create the character bios for people who make their first appearances in those videos, I noticed a few errors in my transcripts and have corrected them. In Chapter 4 it's Caboose who sees the Meta, not Church, and in Chapter 1 Henderson says at first they thought it was help, not Hell. Also I noticed I never created a Spanish page for Chapter 2, so here it is.

Expect new character bios by the end of next week. Recovery One Reconstruction is over 2 hours long, so it's taking some time to gather information and write things up.

As you may have noticed, the brand spanking new layout of Rooster Tooths just came (be sure to press Ctrl-F5 to make sure you have all updated images). I hope you agree it looks less ...goofy. It also breaks away from the slavery of Rooster Teeth branding, as we've got our very own banner images taken straight from the public domain and modified to be the epitome of cool.

Most of the functionality has remained the same, but you'll notice a few changes on pages that can be rated and commented on. First, the clunky "dropdown and button" interface is gone entirely, replaced by a simple "thumbs up/thumbs down" image pair. The comments and comment box are also positioned on the right half of the screen, and may be hidden at any time if you want to shorten up the page or spread out the content. The subdomains are also all gone, and going forward we will have but a single layout.

To celebrate the new layout, we've got a new poll up asking your thoughts on Reconstruction, and the transcript for Chapter 19 of Reconstruction (and epilogue) up and ready for you to consume. Upcoming content updates will include removing episode contents from the RvB bios, updating them with more background information, updating the Strangerhood bios to actually have some, you know, content, and writing up some bios for the characters in RvB Reconstruction.

As always, if you notice any bugs or problems with the new layout that a quick Ctrl-F5 can't fix, let us know and we'll fix it as soon as possible.

I liked it but I didn't think it was that great. Washington was an awesome character and didn't deserve to get (not gonna say because some people haven't watched it yet). It was a good ending but it posed a lot of news questions to be answered. Plus we didn't get to see Tucker. Oh well, wait until the next series comes out.

It's amazing how long these polls can go without lots of votes when I don't announce them on Rooster Teeth.

Hell with it its great good job ill still miss rvb original but I'm here for change its better than letting red vs blue original go to long over due to finish and turn out like garfield - and rooster teeth after having no internet for a year and come back on now i still not disappointed keep up the great job!!! i better log back on my account in redvsblue check the new vid is up yet -loging out to theironpaw :D

Best piece of artwork I've seen! I haven't been held so captive, so enthralled, and moved in quite some time (if ever) by a piece of work in print or on the screen. The only thing I'm wondering is, how the hell are they going to top this?

Resurrecting Washington was the best move ever, and Shannon gets uber-props for great voice-work.

I was amazed at the level of emotional connection the story managed to make while transitioning flattish chartacters to fairly involved story. I was disappointed with the almost complete lack of closure for a series finale. - Washington's path of retribution and justice was undermined by the Chairman. Church hasn't accepted he's an AI, let alone the Alpha. The Director wasn't caught. Tex wasn't saved. Epsilon's nature wasn't revealed. The fate of Lopez and Sister wasn't addressed. Delta never re-appeared, following his departure, to tell his side of the story. Tucker opens up a new side-plot for a future series.

Refining the backstory is OK... but ultimately unsatisfying in the here-now world fo rthe plot.

Oh - and time travel. Please broom this idea as quickly as you can. It was poorly used in BGC, and is too easy to do in the RvB-verse - the ability to travel in time needs to be earned, or anyone can do it. It undermines jeopardy if you keep clicking 'undo' all the time.
